Children's Literature

If you are familiar with French children's literature, perhaps you have heard of Simon. Each of the Simon adventures emphasizes the power of dreams and the excitement in discovering the world around us. Most of all, Simon is playful, precocious, and loves to pretend. In this particular story, which has now been translated into English, Simon imagines that he is many different types of characters, such as a magician, a knight, and a bear. He even dresses up the animals in the forest as well as his friend Marlene. The illustrations are colorful and vivid, bringing Simon and his disguises to life.
