Synopsis

Describes the Characteristics and Behavior of Small Dogs in General, Then Goes Go on to Examine Specific Breeds.

Children's Literature

Chock full of historical, factual, and fun information, this is a book both for the small dog lover and the small dog curious. A plethora of full-color images and a casual tone make this an accessible book for even younger readers. While it lacks images of several of the more popular breeds (beagle, cocker spaniel, and bassett hound) and provides duplicate images of others (Jack Russell terrier, papillon, lhaso apso), this is nevertheless a good starting point for interested readers. The glossary will be a handy reference and the bibliography provides serious readers with a useful guide to further information. Part of the "Perfect Pets" series.
