About the Author, Dandridge M. Malone

Dandridge M. Malone began his U.S. Army career as a private and ended as a colonel almost thirty years later. During that time, he earned a B.S. degree from Vanderbilt University and an M.S. from Purdue, and graduated from the Army's Command and General Staff College and the Army War College. Renowned as the Army's foremost expert on leadership, both in garrison and in combat, he has taught the subject to noncommissioned officers, West Point cadets, and students at various Army service schools. Retired in 1981, he resides in Florida. Alan Bomar Jones is an international stage actor who has appeared in over sixty professional theatrical shows, performing from Canada to California. His offstage credits include two made-for-TV movies, several independent films, and various local commercials. As an independent voice-over artist, Alan works from his home producing books and commercials.
