Features: The book covers a wide variety of topics, beginning with the epidemiology of wounds, the pathophysiology of wounds, and wound healing. The premier topic is wound anesthesia, with great illustrations of nerve blocks. A concise table compares topical, local, and nerve block anesthesia.
Assessment: This is a great quick, concise review of wound management. It is a must for emergency departments, wound centers, acute care nurse practitioner students, and primary care clinics.
