Selections from such Victorian poets as Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Emma Lazarus, Emily Dickinson and Emily and Anne Bronte express carefree, bittersweet or melancholy moods; the poems are illustrated with dramatic, glowing portraits of classical beauties draped in sumptuous garments.
