Reviews bibliographies on South Africa, with an emphasis on bibliographies published within the country. Part I describes and discusses national and subject bibliographies, as well as periodicals, newspapers, theses, official publications, and manuscripts, with a chronology of bibliographic developments from 1821 to 1995, and a listing of South African bibliographic databases on CD-ROM.
