About the Author, Susie H. Vanhuss
Dr. Connie M. Forde is a full professor in the Department of Instructional Systems and Workforce Development at Mississippi State University. She currently serves as curriculum coordinator for the Technology Teacher Education and Information Technology Services undergraduate degree programs and advises master's and doctoral students in the instructional technology programs. Dr. Forde also serves as the faculty advisor of Pi Omega Pi, the honorary society for business teacher education. Prior to joining the MSU faculty in 1987, Dr. Forde served as a business teacher at Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, Mississippi. She is coauthor of the College Keyboarding series published by South-Western/Cengage Learning, as well as numerous word processing and integrated computer applications simulations. Dr. Forde is also a recognized speaker at state, regional, and national conferences, as well as a frequent contributor to the professional literature. Additionally, she has directed 32 dissertations and served on numerous dissertation committees. Dr. Forde is recognized as a leader in her profession, having served as chair of the Foundation for the Future of Business Education for several years.
