Overview
Sue Davidson Lowe's gracefully balanced weave of reminiscence and verifiable fact provides a portrait of Stieglitz that both traces his background and reveals the interplay between his character and his multi-faceted career.Editorials
Library Journal
Lowe is Stieglitz's grandniece and knew the subject well, hence the dual Memoir/Biography subtitle. Released in 1983, this edition has been updated with a new preface by Lowe as well as six additional photos by the artist (63 in all). LJ's reviewer praised the book as an "intimate portrait of a complex, protean figure" (LJ 1/1/83), and the new material only make it more so. Copyright 2003 Cahners Business Information.Book Details
