Stirring Up a World of Fun contains 100 recipes compiled from all over the world. The introduction helps parents discuss kitchen safety, cooking terms and utensils, and measuring tips with their children. The recipes are organized according to regions of the world. Focusing on parents spending time with their children, each recipe includes an interesting cultural fact, a family time activity, and a Scripture verse to worship the Lord while cooking together.

Nanette Goings is the director of Christian education at Faith Community Lutheran Church in Longmont, Colorado, where she has served for 10 years. She fills her free time writing Christian education curriculum for children—and with her love of cooking! She enjoys creating activities for both home and classroom settings. She is author of Incredible Edible Bible Fun: Making GodÂ's Word Memorable with Easy Recipes Children Can Do and Fun Family Festivals. She is also a contributor to numerous childrenÂ's ministry resources such as ChildrenÂ's Ministry magazine, Group Ministry magazine, Junior High Ministry magazine, and Hands-On Bible Curriculum.

Nanette has been married to Bob for more than 22 years; she is a mother to two “almost grown” teenagers, Mollie, 19, and Seth, 17; and friend to a basset hound named Zoe. She has a degree in speech pathology and audiology from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado.
