Synopsis
Ruby, a comedian who uses the mother who walked out on her family for her bitter humor. Ruby's mother, Nora, is a syndicated columnist and radio talk show host who uncannily espouses mariage and family. But when her mother has an accident after an article appears about her in a tabloid, a magazine offers Ruby a small fortune to write a tell-all about her mother. So Ruby goes home to 'help' Nora and to get to know her.
