Synopsis

Ruby, a comedian who uses the mother who walked out on her family for her bitter humor. Ruby's mother, Nora, is a syndicated columnist and radio talk show host who uncannily espouses mariage and family. But when her mother has an accident after an article appears about her in a tabloid, a magazine offers Ruby a small fortune to write a tell-all about her mother. So Ruby goes home to 'help' Nora and to get to know her. To make matters worse, once they arrive at Summer Island, Ruby is reunited with her first love, a man she has never forgiven - or forgotten.
