About the Author, Gary B. Shelly

Gary B. Shelly wrote and published his first computer education textbook in 1969. More than twenty million copies of Shelly Cashman Series' textbooks have been sold. Gary and a talented group of contributing authors have produced books on computer programming, computer concepts, and application software that are the leading textbooks in the computer technology market today. Gary has hosted the annual Shelly Cashman Institute, a week-long training event focusing on the latest topics in technology, for the past 34 years.

Thomas J. Cashman received his education at California State University, Los Angeles. He established one of the first business data processing programs in the U.S. at Long Beach City College in California, where he taught and served as department head. In 1969, he began collaborating with now best-selling author, Gary Shelly.

Glenda A. Gunter is an Associate Professor, Co-chair of the Instructional Technology program at the University of Central Florida, and has a Ph.D. in Instructional/Educational Technology. She has a rich background in education, educational technology, digital media, and works extensively with K-20 schools and educational organizations to integrate technology into all aspects of teaching and learning. She has co-authored 12 books and has numerous national and international publications. She is the co-author of Teachers Discovering Computers: Integrating Technology and Digital Media in Your Classroom.

Randolph E. Gunter has 35 years experience in education and training. He has a Ph.D. in Educational Technology, has co-authored 11 textbooks, written dozens of articles, and presented at over 50 conferences. He is President of 21st Century Learning Solutions, Inc., specializing in online training for K-12 schools, higher education, and major corporations. He is the co-author of Teachers Discovering Computers: Integrating Technology and Digital Media in Your Classroom.
