This book will get kids excited about exploring 9 different genres: Realistic Fiction, Mystery, Folk Literature, Autobiography, Science Fiction/Fantasy, Informational Reports, Biography, Poetry, and Historical Fiction. Descriptions and samples of each genre are included, along with great cross-curricular activities and literature links. For use with Grades 4-8.

Teaching activities and reproducible pages on nine genres or subgenres of literature: poetry, biography, autobiography, reports of information, realistic fiction in a modern setting, historical fiction, folk literature, mystery, modern fantasy and science fiction.
