About the Author, Whitaker

Dr. Todd Whitaker has been recognized as a leading motivational speaker in the field of education. Todd is a professor of educational leadership at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana, and he has spent his life researching and studying effective teachers and principals. One of the nation’s leading authorities on staff motivation, teacher leadership, and principal effectiveness, Todd has written sixteen educational books including the national best seller, What Great Teachers Do Differently. Dr. Beth Whitaker is an Assistant Professor of Elementary and Early Childhood Education at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. Beth was principal at Thorpe J. Gordon Elementary School in Jefferson City, Missouri, prior to moving to Indiana. Dr. Whitaker has been published in the areas of school climate, principal leadership, and staff motivation and morale. She also works with many principals, teachers, and schools in the areas of curriculum development, classroom management, writing, and reading.
