Synopsis
Albert (mathematics and statistics, Bowling Green State U.) developed this textbook to teach statistics in a way that will be familiar and interesting to students, particularly those satisfying their mathematics requirement—and especially students with sports-related majors or interests. The text is suitable as the framework for a one-semester introductory statistics class focused on baseball, or as a resource for instructors who want to introduce applications from baseball into their present course in probability or statistics.
