Literacy can no longer be defined simply as the ability to read and write; logical thinking, critical problem-solving, and technological savvy are integral aspects of contemporary literacy. Dr. Susan O’Hara is an associate professor in the Department of Teacher Education at Sacramento State University and has co-authored articles for numerous journals, including the Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy. She is also the co-author of NETS Grades 6-8 Multidisciplinary Resource Units, published by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).
Dr. Robert Pritchard is Professor of Education and Chair of the Department of Teacher Education at Sacramento State University where he has worked extensively with teachers in both pre-service and in-service settings. His professional experiences and numerous publications have made him a popular speaker at professional development sessions for teachers and administrators.
