This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed postproceedings of the 5th International Workshop on Technologies for E-Services, TES 2004, held in Toronto, Canada in August 2004 in conjunction with VLDB 2004.

The 12 revised full papers presented went through two rounds of reviewing and selection. Among the topics addressed are current issues on various aspects of e-services, in particular of Web services, such as Web service composition, Web service selection, formal Web service development, e-service coordination, wireless ad-hoc networking, b26 information services, enterprise application integration, and m-commerce.
