Overview

Tecumseh dreamed of a united Indian nation that would flourish in our present-day Midwest. He worked very hard to bring this about, developing a shrewd sense of white people's politics. If he had not been killed fighting for the British in 1812, there is no telling what he might have accomplished. If he had lived, there is every reason to believe that Tecumseh could have been the one Indian leader to create an Indian State.

A biography of the Shawnee warrior, orator, and leader who united a confederacy of Indians in an effort to save Indian land from the advance of white soldiers and settlers.
