Gr 6-10-A basic overview of a growing American problem. Through a direct, unemotional narrative, Galas talks about potential victims and where troubled teens can get support and help. Although the text consists of generalized statements rather than primary-source material, the information is accurate and up-to-date. Black-and-white photos are scattered throughout; some lack clarity. This series entry covers essentially the same ground as Jay Schleifer's Everything You Need to Know About Teen Suicide (Rosen, 1993), but lacks the color photos and larger print of that volume. A serviceable addition for reports that require more than one source.-Gail Richmond, San Diego Unified Schools, CABook Details
