Overview

When seventeen-year-old Malorey Allister is asked to leave her father's happy Midwest home and move to Laurel Canyon, California, with her rich, spiteful mother, Malorey merely hangs up the phone. However, she has no choice, and finding out she's going to spend her senior year at a Catholic school only makes things worse. An aspiring writer always searching for an adventure, Malorey decides to make the most of her new life and write about her experiences in California. For the sake of trying something new, she joins a rebellious, anarchistic girl group called The Ambulance Club. She learns their stories, takes part in their pranks, goes to their parties, and has the time of her life. But when the pranks start to spin out of control, Malorey's struggle to fit in turns into a fight for her life. She learns that once you're in, you can never get out.
