About the Author, Sharon Koomen Harmon

SHARON KOOMEN HARMON, IIDA, is a professional interior designer living in Nashville, Tennessee. She has more than twenty-five years experience in the field of commercial and residential interiors. She also develops continuing education courses for the design community, including monographs for NCIDQ.

KATHERINE E. KENNON, AIA, is a professional architect and a Facility Planner for Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She has experience in commercial, healthcare, and residential architectural projects. She also conducts seminars on design, building codes, and accessibility issues for design students and professionals.
