Augustine of Hippo (354–430), Bishop of Hippo Regius, was a philosopher and theologian. One of the fathers of the church, he is one of the most important figures in the development of Western Christianity. E. M. Blaiklock (1903–1983) produced a large volume of literature in the fields of biblical studies and Christian apologetics. Maggi Dawn serves as chaplain to Robinson College, Cambridge University; is the author of Beginnings and Endings (and What Happens in Between): Daily Bible Readings from Advent to Epiphany; and contributes to such publications as Christian Century Journal and the Guardian.
