Overview

When it debuted 40 years ago, the Easy-Bake oven was touted as "the greatest girl's toy since dolls. In truth, this ingenious little working oven inspired generations of budding gourmets of both genders, including Food TV chef Bobby Flay. Today, with more than 50 million sold, the Easy-Bake oven has become a nostalgic favorite and a pop-culture icon, while continuing to empower children to prepare real food in a toy that's just their size. This fun cookbook, illustrated with vintage advertisements and packaging, contains dozens of recipes created by some of the country's top chefs, including Fay, tailored to the Easy-Bake oven's specifications. It's guaranteed to appeal to adults as well as children. In fact, it provides a great way for parents and kids to get together and bake something delicious -- and this time, the kids can be in charge!
