Meagher (scholar, translator, and director) presents a monograph () and English translation of five plays of Euripides that explore the atrocity of war, the plight of women, and the mystery of the gods<-->Hekabe, Helen, Iphigenia (at Aulis and in Tauris), and Bakkhai. Since he believes that the test of the plays is in the stage production, he draws not only on his 20 years experience as a translator, but also on his work as a director and teacher.
