About the Author, Gail Honda

GAIL HONDA is President and CEO of Global Optima Inc., a technology development company in Honolulu, Hawaii. She served as Director of the Program in Applied Quantitative Research at the University of Chicago and on the faculties of the University of Chicago and the University of Hawaii. She holds an MBA and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, and was a Fulbright Scholar in Tokyo.

KIPP MARTIN is Professor of Operations Research and Computing Technology at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He teaches Internet business technology to MBA students and executives in the U.S. and Europe. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Science from the University of Cincinnati.
