Floyd Scholz is universally recognized as a master bird carver. He is also the author of Birds of Prey (0811702421), Owls (0811710211), Carving & Painting an American Kestrel (081172493X), and Carving & Painting a Red-Tailed Hawk (0811727041). He lives in Hancock, Vermont.

A professional artist since 1983, Floyd Scholz is recognized as one of the top bird carvers in the world. He operates the Vermont Raptor Academy for carvers in Bennington, Vermont, and splits his time between Vermont and Florida.
