Miller, a clinical psychologist and founder of the Hilton Head Health Institute, presents his version of the secret of executive success in the form of a five-part program that ``can increase your business efficiency, concentration and stamina by as much as 50%.'' His super-stamina nutrition plan, high-energy fitness plan, 20-minute resting-in-motion routine, five-minute booster routine and stamina attitude/stress management plan aren't revolutionary concepts, but they comprise the elements of healthful fitness and nutrition that are compatible with a broad range of life-styles. Detailed strategies for business travel and stamina eating at a variety of business functions, and a section on the hazards of vitamin overdosage are particularly noteworthy. Readers will have to overlook indulgences in case studies, lists, pep talks, repetitions, puffery and pitches for Miller's The Hilton Head Metabolism Diet in this sound, comprehensible program. Library Journal

Miller identifies six types of fatigue, including muscle, nutrient, dehydration, oxygen starvation, stress, and motivational, as the causes of executive fatigue. He presents a five-part plan to overcome this fatigue, stressing a high fiber/low fat diet, a daily exercise regimen, resting exercises, a five-minute booster routine, and an attitude/stress management plan. He also addresses the special needs of women executives. The narration of one successful case study after another is cloying, but this book will appeal to those who enjoyed his earlier work, The Hilton Head Metabolism Diet ( LJ 3/15/83), and it is recommended for public libraries serving an executive clientele.
