Gr 5-8--In these well-illustrated titles, readers get a chance to see some of the most remote areas of the world. Each book contains over 60 captioned, full-color photographs, reproductions, geological timelines, and maps. Double-page topic treatments address the formation and history of the land, its wildlife, people, and prospects for the future. These texts don't provide in-depth information, but they do give students plenty of facts and informative graphics.
