Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot

This is a chapter book that any kid with a sibling can relate to. Ron just can't seem to compete with his sister, Latrice, who is a good student, talented dancer and singer, and loves to read. Ron is clever with his hands and can fix and make things. Throw in a class bully, a desire to win $50 at the Kwanzaa contest, and the friendly rivalry among the kids, and you have the makings of a pretty good story even if readers can guess the outcome.
