Overview
Noah Stephens is being primed to become his father's successor in the ministry. Morgan Foster stands to inherit her mother's drug distribution empire. These two young people are products of completely different backgrounds, but against all odds, they meet and fall in love.
Morgan keeps Noah in the dark about the family business as long as she can, all the while struggling to accept her destiny. Noah, too, is ambivalent about the future his parents have planned for him, but after his mother is seriously injured in a car accident, he makes a promise on her deathbed that he'll join his father in the church.
When Morgan finally reveals the truth regarding her family's business, Noah is devastated. He urges Morgan to see the error of her ways, but the young woman is adamant following in her mother's footsteps. Noah severs their relationship, only to rush to Morgan's side when he learns of the struggles she is facing after her mother's arrest.
