Synopsis
Marie Adelaide Lowndes née Belloc (1868-1947) was an English novelist who first achieved fame with the publication of THE LODGER (1913), an intense thriller based on the Jack the Ripper murders. THE LODGER concerns a London family who suspects that their upstairs lodger is a mysterious killer known as "The Avenger." The novel was the basis for four movie adaptions.Book Details
