About the Author, Ivan Maisel

Ivan Maisel has been a national college football writer since 1987, the last six years for ESPN.com. He has covered national championship games for the Dallas Morning News, Newsday, and Sports Illustrated. He has won four Best Story Awards from the Associated Press Sports Editors and the Football Writers Association of America. He lives in Fairfield, Connecticut. Chris Fowler is a sports broadcaster for ESPN best known for his work on College GameDay for college football.
