Ted Rand was the acclaimed illustrator of more than 70 picture books, including, for Clarion, The Memory String and Secret Place by Eve Bunting and Ice Palace by Deborah Blumenthal. He died in 2005 at his home in Mercer Island, Washington.
Rand illustrates Moore's famous poem in a large-format picture book that showcases his colorful paintings in a series of double-page spreads.
