Overview

The fetishistic suicide of her clean-cut cousin, a mediocre computer programmer for a London pizza chain, adds to the gloom of Georgina Powers' life. But when she finds out he was about to leave for a lucrative job in California's Silicon Valley, she asks herself two questions: Why would anyone want him? And why would he kill himself when he'd just landed the best deal of his life? His former employers are of no help, but determined to find out, Georgina hacks into the company's computer system and discovers a devious line of code that suggest her cousin might have been murdered. Which is where things really begin to get nasty.

Evening Standard

Danks has produced a figure who would undoubtedly get three stars in a Michelin guide to crime novel heroines.

Literary Review

Danks is the queen of techno–crime… An apocalyptic view of contemporary London: gutted, greedy, abandoned to the barbarians. Hugely impressive.

New York Times Book Review

a smart and sexy mystery series.

Times

Denise Danks has magnificently cornered the market in the crime of tomorrows wizard technology.
