The Rainforest Book

A part of the Natural Resources Defense Council's ``Rescue the Rainforest Campaign,'' this book gives essential facts about rain forests and provides suggestions for individuals and groups working to save them. A list of relevant organizations and a bibliography (including children's books and teachers' guides) is included. This book is less wordy and more colorfully illustrated than many others on this subject, and it is more down-to-earth and practical in its recommendations for action.
