The Runaway Bunny

The runaway bunny, first published in 1942 and never out of print, has indeed become a classic. Two generations of readers have fallen in love with the gentle magic of its reassuring words and loving pictures. It is here published in a new edition for which the artist has redrawn some of his pictures; they are wholly in keeping with the softy poetic timeless spirit of his famous originals.

Children's Literature

Margaret Wise Brown's book was published in 1942 and it was issued in board book form in 1991. It is given new packaging with a little plush bunny like the one in the story. Little Bunny says he wants to head out on his own, and but Mama responds to all of escapades with reassurance that she will always be there. Little Bunny finally decides that he might as well stay at home in the loving comfort of his Mamma's arms. Black and white illustrations alternate with full color spreads whenever Mama responds with her unconditional love and care.
