Synopsis

The British army has a thankless job in Northern Ireland. Other than endless check points and a stifling police presence, its only hope is to infiltrate the IRA.

Enter Simon Vaughn, a British officer turned gun runner. He is sprung from a Greek prison by the British on condition that he pose as an undercover arms dealer in Northern Ireland. Fresh out of options, Vaughn agrees. He gets more than he bargains for, or wants -- $5,000 in hijacked gold, a smuggling operation in Ulster and a murderous manhunt.

"SAVAGE DAY confirms Higgins' high rank in the field of adventure fiction." (B-O-T Editorial Review Board)\
