THE SPEAKER'S HANDBOOK is intended for the introductory public speaking course taught in departments of speech communication at two- and four-year colleges and universities.
Synopsis
This handbook and accompanying CD-ROM will help students and professionals improve their public speaking skills. The handbook provides 30 stand-alone chapters on principles and provides examples and exercises on issues commonly confronted in preparing and delivering a speech. This seventh edition is bound with a spiral binding and tabbed part dividers, and offers more information on finding, evaluating, and citing electronic sources and on software- generated visuals. The CD-ROM contains complete and excerpted student and professional speeches, plus links to a Web site. Sprague is affiliated with San Jose State University.
