Offering a unique combination of scholarship and readability, Wuthnow honestly attempts to be fair to all parties and disparaging to none. He makes a strong plea for reconciliation between different Christian factions and is highly creative in recommending practical ways for evangelicals to utilize existing strengths and gain increased recognition in the scholarly community.
