About the Author, Wendt, Guenter , Still, Russell

Guenter Wendt is a mechanical engineer who was in charge of the NASA Kennedy Space Center launch tower pad operations for the entire Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo programs. He was also in charge of spacecraft preparations for all manned Apollo-Soyuz Test Project and Skylab flights. He currently speaks to students and civil groups on the importance of space exploration. He lives in Huntsville, Alabama. Russell Still is a commercial pilot who has written on a variety of computer and aerospace subjects and is the author of Relics of the Space Race. He lives in Cumming, Georgia.
