About the Author, Apsley Cherry-Garrard

Apsley Cherry-Garrard (1886—1959) is best known as a member of Robert Falcon Scott's expedition team and for this travelogue of his Antarctic experiences. Caroline Alexander is the author of the New York Times bestseller about Ernest Shackleton, The Endurance, and The Bounty, among other books. She lives in New Hampshire.
