The Year of Abi Crim

Abi can't wait to start her first day of sixth grade. She'll be in Mr. Doyle's class--Mr. Doyle, the most popular teacher at Fairlawn Chirstain School--and surely she will be chosen to be concertmistress of the school orchestra. But Abi is disappointed when Mr. Doyle has to leave because of a family emergency. Then a new girl, Tamika Mitchell, outdoes her on the violin. Even worse, Abi discovers an ugly streak of racism in her own classmates. Can she face these challenges in a way that will honor her Savior?
