Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot

This is a combination book and CD that contains the composition of the same name by Benjamin Britten. Ben Kingsley narrates the composition. While not sufficient as a reference, it is a beautiful package and will attract young readers and music lovers. The CD contains a set of variations for the instrument families, letting listeners enjoy their individual sounds and concluding with selections for all of the instruments. The CD and book should encourage kids to listen and instill a desire to learn more about classical music.
