Children's Literature -
This take on the ageless song of the Old Lady who swallowed a fly has its own twist at the end. Since she swallowed a chick and didn't get sick, she then swallows straw, an egg, some candy, a bow, and even a basket. This Easter poem comes with a CD. The CD contains two tracks. The first is the story with a signal for the children to turn the pages. The second is the story without the page signal. With either track the children can follow along with the story in the book. The graphics nicely accentuate the text giving younger children a greater understanding of what is happening while reading the book. These graphics are funny, colorful, and full of imagination making the story come to life. The alliteration in the book will make it fun for younger children to read and re-read. The play along CD will make it a favorite for adults who are teaching children how to read by following along with the words while someone reads the book out loud.Book Details
