Readers learn about Thumbelina's achievements, how she has overcome obstacles and what she does for others. As the other books in the "Inspiring Animals" series do, this book teaches by example how to cope with daily life and persevere when times are tough. Students will discover an easy art project for making a miniature horse at the back of the book. Curious readers will also find information about other sources for further research, a glossary and an index.
