During his teaching career he received the "Distinguished Technology Educator Award" in 1990, the "Special Recognition Award" from ITEA in 1995, and was selected as the Technology Teacher Educator of the Year" in 1997 fro the Council for Technology Teacher Education. He also received the "Outstanding Research Award" in 2003 for his research on Modular Technology in the classroom.
