Overview
Train #50 is based on true incidents that happened on the day of the great Tsunami disaster in 2004. The train started from Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, southbound with 2,000 passengers on board; unforeseen events led to a disaster where most passengers perished. While the guard on the train saved many lives, the controller in Colombo saved five other passenger trains that day. There were people of different races and faiths on board, and as their destinies collided, prayers of many faiths intermingled. The aftermath and the survivors' struggles are vividly explained.
