About the Author, Steiner

HANS STEINER is professor of psychiatry and behavioral science in the Division of Child Psychiatry and Development at the Stanford University School of Medicine. He is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine. In addition to other awards, he was selected by Good Housekeeping as one of the nation's 327 best mental health care providers. IRVIN D. YALOM is professor emeritus of psychiatry at the Stanford University School of Medicine. He is the author of several basic textbooks, including the Classic Theory and Practice of Group Psychotherapy, as well as the best-selling trade book Love's Executioner and the award-winning novel When Nietzsche Wept.
