Synopsis

Detective James Kahamala has to manage his twelve year old twin daughters, Myra and Maya, while solving homicides for the Honolulu Police Department. Fortunately, Aunt Beatrice, a wealthy woman from the mainland, who loves Hawaii and was a close friend of his departed wife, steps in to help. So does Questor, the detective dachshund. One day Kahamala's chief asks that he drive up to Turtle Bay, the famous resort in the north of Oahu, Hawaii. There was no murder, but a crime was committed and the chief orders Kahamala to appear promptly. With the assistance of his incredible family and the dachshund, who are always at his side even when he would prefer they were not, the detective solves the puzzling disappearance of an English Professor and the theft of valuable paintings. -- A soft-boiled mystery that will keep you chuckling!
