Twenty years ago, John Swannell started his own studio in London. Since then he has created portraits of British luminaries (e.g., Genesis, John Gielgud, Di & the boys, John Hurt, Richard Branson, a very young Tina Brown); very beautiful, rather gothic, sepia-toned landscapes; fashion pages; and studies of nudes against other natural textures.
