Overview

Over 4 million Americans are diagnosed annually with peptic ulcer disease. Many learn to live with the resulting heartburn, acid reflux, and stomach pain by taking over-the-counter antacids, but these products help only temporarily. Ulcer Free! provides an unbiased review of the various treatments—both conventional and alternative—that can stop the symptoms and actually heal the ulcers. Finally, it introduces the breakthrough nutrient Zinc-Carnosine, which can be used in conjunction with other treatments or alone.

Synopsis

Over 4 million Americans are diagnosed annually with peptic ulcer disease. Millions more go undiagnosed. For them, the resulting gastritis simply becomes a part of their daily existence, and they learn to live with heartburn, acid reflux, nausea, belching, gas, and stomach pain. For many of these people, living on over-the-counter antacids becomes a way of life. Readily available and easy-to-take, these pleasant-tasting products may stop the pain, but only temporarily. Furthermore, while the symptoms are quieted, the underlying condition can get worse. But it doesn't have to be that way. Written by a physician who himself suffered gastric pain, Ulcer Free! is a practical guide to understanding the causes of and effective treatments for peptic ulcer disease.

Ulcer Free! begins with a look at why we get ulcers. It examines the Helicobacter pylori bacterium—the newly discovered culprit behind the majority of stomach ulcers. It also discusses the growing number of ulcers caused by the overuse of NSAIDs—over-the-counter pain relievers more commonly known as aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, and a variety of other products. The book also details the most common signs of peptic ulcer disease, and explains the latest testing procedures for determining this condition. Next, a clear and unbiased look is given to the various treatments that can stop the symptoms and actually heal ulcers, including both conventional and alternative therapies. Finally, Ulcer Free! introduces the new breakthrough nutrient Zinc-Carnosine, which can be used in conjunction with other treatments or on its own.

If you are tired of being victim to continual gastric distress, and you are not sure what your next step might be, Ulcer Free! can help. Up-to-date and accurate, it offers the key to permanent relief.
